Anna Markland has done it again with this amazing book. Love truly conquers all in desperate circumstances. This story is full of twists and turns that will keep you glued to the book even into the wee hours of the night. It's a great love story that will try the characters to their very cores. It's a must read.
Thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. Had a hard time putting the book down. Roberts and Doriannes encounter in the kitchen was so touching. It's so funny how the characters seem real.
Great continuation. Rams sons are grown with responsibilities of their own and futures to secure. Enemies become family, more grand children for Ram and Mabelle. More war, more pain, more sorrow, more loss. All encompassed with undying love and compassion that brings healing and happiness. Another great read. Can't wait to read the next one.
Rather hard to put the Kindel down once I got into the story. What an exciting time keeping up with all of the family. I
This is a well researched story with lots of love and passion. The romance was deep and loving. I liked that the author used a cat's companionship to stand by the hero during th his darkest days in the dungeon. The happy ever after was very realistic with the psychological scars discribed with perception.I would highly recommend this book to adults.It is a little too steamy for young teenagers.
I cried. Because along with an engaging romance this book told of the death of a much beloved character in the family. Like his brothers and the rest of the family that came before them Robert Montbryce believes in both destiny and true love so when he meets the woman he knows is meant for him he quickly and boldly pursues her even though they should be enemies. While the young and trusting Dorianne is able to set aside old hatred, her family is not and let me tell you they cause trouble. I think Dorianne is the first Montbryce Heroine that I've not completely loved, she's so naive and trusting that she brings about a lot of their problems with her blind innocence. It took a lot for me to find her worthy of Robert but in the end she redeems herself. This installment of the family saga will not disappoint. It is well written with lots of action and even a cat -- how can you not love a cat named "Hope" just when things are looking their darkest?
Passion in the Blood takes place in the 12th century. The research done for this book is fantastic. The author brings the history into the story, which makes it quite interesting. This is a Hatfields and McCoys type story. The Montbryce family is at odds with the Giroux family over something that had happened over 20 years earlier. Robert falls in love with Dorianne, but her family is against a marriage. Dorianne is beaten and sent to a convent. Robert finds her and takes her home with him. You'll have to read the book to find out how it all turns out! This is an interesting story, and an interesting time.
